Jean-Baptiste Sibertin-Blanc tells us about his passion for beautiful materials<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

A cabinet-maker and inlay artist trained at the \u00c9cole Boulle<\/strong> and a designer with a degree fromEnsci Paris<\/strong>, Jean Baptiste Sibertin-Blanc sees the world through the twin lenses of art and of design. He began his career designing furniture for the Taller de Arquitectura Ricardo Bofill<\/strong> for four years. Then he led teaching workshops to revive craftsmanship in the Indian Ocean in a five-year program of the European Development Fund. Between 1999 and 2011 Jean-Baptiste became Creative Director at Cristallerie Daum<\/strong>, where he involved creators from all over the world in the production of limited editions.<\/p>\n

Jean Baptiste Sibertin-Blanc has participated in many group shows. In 2010, as Artistic Director of the “Visions of Obsidian” exhibit, he brought together twelve artists to produce some extraordinary pieces.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Jean Baptiste Sibertin-Blanc has run studio JBSB for several years now and collaborated with numerous brands, including Assa Abloy, Christofle, Cristal Saint Louis, Herm\u00e8s, Ligne Roset, LVMH and others.<\/p>\n

Jean Baptiste designed the Bamboo collection for cub-ar.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Jean Baptiste Sibertin-Blanc has won many honors including the Talent de l’El\u00e9gance<\/strong> awarded by the Sommet du Luxe et de la Cr\u00e9ation<\/strong> and the Janus de l’Industrie<\/strong> prize for the Saint-Gobain Glass “Feeling” collection. In 2014 he participated in the first Acad\u00e9mie des Savoir Faire of the Herm\u00e8s Foundation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
